The easiest way to test your solution is to modify your channel to use LLP Listener as the source component (or create a test channel that uses this source component). You can then configure the HL7 Simulator to send messages of only one type through your channel. This will ensure that a channel notification warning message appears in the Iguana logs.
To configure the HL7 Simulator for this test:
The HL7 Simulator will now repeatedly send an ADT message through the channel, but does not send any ORM messages. This means that, eventually, a channel inactivity warning message will appear in the Iguana logs: This channel inactivity warning message should trigger one of your email notification rules, and you should receive an email message warning you of the channel inactivity.
