If you are using an Iguana channel to send only one type of message, you will have no difficulty detecting whether message traffic is flowing properly: either messages are arriving, or they are not. In this case, you can use a channel inactivity rule to detect whether there is a problem with message traffic. (Channel inactivity rules are described in Creating a Channel Inactivity Rule.) However, your Iguana channel may be transmitting several different types of messages at once. If you need to know whether messages of a particular type are not being transmitted, you can use a VMD file as a filter to keep track of message flow and detect whether all message types are being received. The following sections describe how to implement this solution. |
