In Iguana 4.0 and later versions, you can use email notification rules to monitor channel activity on your system. For example, you can create notification rules to notify you when:

• A service or channel error has occurred;
• A user starts a channel;
• A user stops a channel;
• A channel that processes multiple message types detects that messages of a particular type have stopped arriving;
• A VIP is admitted to a hospital;
• An idle channel has started receiving messages again.
