Starting the Channel |
The next step is to start the channel from the Iguana dashboard:
- Click the Dashboard tab.
- Locate the row that contains the name of the channel that you just created.
- Click the Start button.
If the channel is running normally, a green status indicator appears, and the Last Activity column shows that the XML input file has been read and processed:
Channel Started Successfully
If an error has been detected, a red error indicator appears.

If you have not started the HL7 Listener, an error occurs when you start this channel. This is because there is no counterparty currently listening for incoming messages. When you start the channel and it processes the message, the input XML file is deleted by default. You can choose to have the input file moved to another directory after it has been processed.
