Step 5 - Creating the XML to HL7 Channel |
In the previous step, you created a channel that translated an HL7 message into XML. In this step, you will create another channel that translates the XML message back into the HL7 format.
Once again, you will be using the VMD file that you created in Step 2 to perform the translation. The same VMD file can be used to translate from HL7 to XML and from XML to HL7.
The following sections describe how to create this channel using Iguana 4.0 and later versions, and how to create this channel using older versions of Iguana.
