In Iguana 4.0, email notification has been completely revised.

• You can now specify an email address for a user:

• You can now define email notification rules that specify when notification email is to be sent:

Notification rule criteria can include the content of the log message, the name of the channel, the log entry type, or whether the channel has been started or stopped. A notification rule can affect all channels. See Defining Email Notification Rules for more details.

• You can define groups of users to receive specified notification email messages:

	In version 4.5 of Iguana, user groups are called roles. For more information, see Creating a Role.

• Email notification messages have URL links, which means that you can log into Iguana and easily see the reason why the notification message was sent. In the Email Notification Settings screen, you can specify the host name that these links will use:
