One of the most useful features of Iguana is that you can ensure that users can see only some of the channels that you have created. This can help you to ensure security and confidentiality.

For example, suppose that you are receiving data from two hospitals, H1 and H2, and that you have created three channels for each hospital to receive patient data:

For reasons of patient confidentiality, you might be required to ensure that users who have access to Hospital H1's patient data do not have access to Hospital H2's patient data, or vice versa. The following tutorial shows you how you can accomplish this in Iguana.

To limit user access, you must:

• Create a separate channel group for each channel. One channel group is needed for each channel or channels to which access is to be limited to.
• Create a role that specifies that channels in a particular channel group can be accessed.
• Create a user that is a member of the role. This user will be able to access only a specific channel group.
