In order for Iguana to communicate with your mail server, your email server settings must be properly configured. If your email settings have been properly configured but the Iguana email notification is still not working, some of the probable causes include:
SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) is the protocol Iguana uses to communicate with your mail server. The following procedure will determine if the computer that Iguana is installed on is able to communicate with the mail server.
To test that the computer that Iguana is installed on can communicate via SMTP to the mail server:
If the servers successfully connect, a message is displayed:
