Chameleon's networking components (also known as native sockets) enable applications to send and receive HL7 messages using the standard TCP/IP-based Lower Layer Protocol (LLP). The networking components are available in all the supported programming languages. Although the language interface differs slightly across the supported platforms, the core behavior is the same. This section of the manual explains the function of Chameleon's networking components and how they can be effectively leveraged at the application code level to facilitate message delivery.
