Setting Up the Segment Grammar |
Now that you have defined a message definition and a message identity for Lab Results messages, the next step is to set up the segment grammar for the message definition.
To set up the segment grammar:
- In the Workspace, in the LabResults message definition, double-click Message Grammar. The Message Grammar window appears.
- Drag the PID segment from the Workspace and drop it into the Segment Grammar panel.
- In the Segment Grammar panel, click Insert Segment Group. The New Segment Group window appears.
- Type ResultGroup and click OK. This creates a segment group named ResultGroup. You will use this group to process a result group, which is a collection of one OBR segment and one or more OBX segments.
Creating a New Segment Group
- In the Segment Grammar panel, select the ResultGroup group that you just created.
- Select the Repeating check box.
- Drag the OBR and OBX segments from the Workspace and drop them into the ResultGroup folder.
- In the Segment Grammar panel, select the OBX segment and the Repeating check box.
When you are finished, the Segment Grammar should look like this:
