This section shows you how to install Chameleon on a Mac system via the Parallels Desktop for Mac application. Introduced in 2006, Parallels Desktop for Mac functions very similarly to VMware, in that it allows you to run hardware virtually. Using the host computer's hardware resources, each virtual machine is able to operate independently, as if it were a standalone computer. More importantly for Chameleon users, it enables you to run Windows-only programs like native Mac applications. While iNTERFACEWARE currently only offers support for running Chameleon natively on Windows, Parallels is a great alternative for running Chameleon on Macintosh computers with Intel processors since you can run the Chameleon GUI on your Mac OS X machine.
