This section shows you how to install Chameleon on a Unix-based system for the first time. Please note that iNTERFACEWARE currently only offers support for running the Chameleon GUI natively on Windows. While you can deploy a run-time application built with Chameleon on Unix, a Windows version is required to develop and modify your VMD file (i.e. your interface project file) and generate stubcode.
To install Chameleon in Unix:
The above command will return the version of the gcc compiler you are using, but may not work on all Linux-based systems.
Note that, in this example, the registration key is enclosed in single quote ' characters when it is set. This ensures that the registration key is assigned to CHM_REGKEY as is. If you do not enclose the registration key in single quotes, your Unix shell may mistakenly detect special characters inside the key.
