The core runtime engine for Chameleon is written in ANSI C++. For this reason, iNTERFACEWARE is able to support a variety of Unix platforms such as, but not limited to, HPUX, Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux. Support for Java is based on the Java Native Interface (JNI) protocol. This allows us to use a single code base to support C++ and Java programmers under all our supported operating systems. Currently we do not support running the Chameleon GUI natively on platforms other than Windows. However, we are interested in gauging interest in the GUI being ported to other platforms like Linux and Mac OS X. |
