Generating Stubcode from the Command Line |
Customers often need to be able to automate the build process of their products to ensure that each release can be reproduced and that a consistent set of tools and libraries are used every time.
To help those customers that employ such procedures, Chameleon has the capability to generate stubcode from the command line. This is accomplished by invoking the Chameleon Stubcode Generation executable called stubgen (shipped with versions 5.0 and above) with command line switches from the Chameleon install directory.

The usage is demonstrated below:

To view the help, open a command prompt window, go to the Chameleon install directory and type stubgen. | ||

The following table explains what the various options do:
| Option | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vmd File | The file to use as a basis for stubcode generation. |
| --directory | Specifies the directory to output the stubcode into. If a directory is not specified, the directory containing the VMD is used. If a directory is specified but does not exist, it will be created for you. Requires the Directory argument. |
| --type | The parameter for --type can be one of the following:

| --silent | Suppresses all output. |
| --prefix | Overrides the stubcode prefix specified in the VMD file. Requires the Prefix argument. |
| --language | Specify the language that you want to generate the stubcode in. Requires the LanguageCode argument. |
