Setting Validation Options |
To set the validation options for your VMD file, click the Options icon in the toolbar. In the Misc tab of the Options window, you will find two validation options:
| Validation Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Strict Grammar Checking | Enables the requirement of fields in a segment. |
| Parser Version | Validation rules will not throw exceptions if the 3.211.244 parser engine is selected. The 3.211 parser engine is also sometimes referred to as Enhanced Validation. To have Chameleon throw exceptions for validation rules, select either the 4.5 parser engine or 5.0 parser engine. |
