To apply a permanent license to your installation of Chameleon, do the following:

• Follow the instructions in Finding the Machine ID to locate the Machine ID for your installation of Chameleon. You will need this Machine ID for your permanent license.

	The Machine ID is unique to the computer that you run Chameleon on and is case-sensitive. Whenever requesting a non-expiring key from iNTERFACEWARE support, you must provide it for the machines that you wish to license. If you try and use the registration key intended for one machine on another, it will not work.

• Follow the instructions in Logging In To Your Member Account to log in to your member account. (If you do not have a member account, see Creating a Member Account for information on how to create it.)
• Follow the instructions provided in Activating a New License to obtain a registration code for your Machine ID. Select a Chameleon Development or a Chameleon Runtime license.
• If you have registered Chameleon with a trial license that has not yet expired, open a Command Prompt window, and set your current directory to be the directory in which Chameleon is installed. From this directory, run the following command to specify that Chameleon is to use your new permanent license:

VMstudio.exe -nologo -registernoexpiry

A window will appear, asking you to provide your registration code:

• If you have not previously registered, start Chameleon. A window appears, asking you to supply your registration code:

• In either case, type or paste the new registration code into the Registration Code field. Select the No Expiry Date check box.

• Click Ok. An Information dialog window appears, confirming that the registration was successful.

• Click OK to close the dialog box. Chameleon opens and the New Project window appears.
