Chameleon has a large number of components to it. As we advance the product forward, we are often adding new components. Periodically we will re-factor Chameleon to have a smaller footprint by creating shared DLLs to avoid duplicated code. In order to have the freedom to do this, we cannot support custom deployments of Chameleon where your application repackages Chameleon components individually. A standard Chameleon installation sets up the correct installation structure for all Chameleon components, with correct dependencies and component versions. Custom installations of Chameleon may not maintain this, leading to mismatched components that cause unexpected behavior and often, problems that are difficult to diagnose. The recommended method for installing applications that use Chameleon is to use the silent installation feature. For more details, see Deploying Chameleon Applications. If you do choose to create custom installations, we regret that we cannot provide support for it. |
