Composites are generally regarded as the building blocks of segments. They are usually defined in the definition of the respective standards (such composites always exist in the Chameleon libraries), but alternate vendor implementations may differ considerably. Custom segments, or Z-segments, may also include custom composites. This section introduces composites by focusing on some of the more common tasks you will encounter while creating your message definition file. |
