To upgrade a copy of Iguana manually, follow the steps shown below.

• From the interfaceware FTP site, get a copy of the version of Iguana that you want to install. Be sure to get the version that has noinstaller in its name - for example, if you are upgrading to version 4.5.1 of Iguana, choose iguana_noinstaller_windows_4_5_1.zip.
• Unpack the zip file. The resulting directory will contain all of the files needed by the upgraded version of Iguana. Remember the location of this directory.
• Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services. The Services window appears.

• Locate the service for the copy of Iguana that you want to upgrade. Right-click on it, then select Stop to stop your Iguana server.
• Locate the directory into which you have installed the copy of Iguana that you want to upgrade. Move this directory to another location on your system. (For example, if you are upgrading your second installation of Iguana, you might have stored it in C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana2. You can then rename it to be C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/OldIguana2.)
• Move the directory containing the unpacked zip file to the location where your installed copy of Iguana was before you moved it. (To continue with the example above: if you moved your second installation of Iguana from C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana2 to C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/OldIguana2, you should now move the unpacked zip file to C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana2.) You have now replaced the old version of Iguana with the upgraded version of Iguana.
• Copy the following files from the old version of Iguana to the new one (for example, from C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/OldIguana2 to C:/Program Files/iNTERFACEWARE/Iguana2):
  • The logs directory
  • IguanaLicense
  • IguanaConfiguration.xml
  • iguana_service.hdf
• Start Iguana, and manually start and check your channels one at a time to ensure that they are running normally. If a channel is not running normally, you will have to copy the backup files that you created into the iNTERFACEWARE directory. For more information, see Copying Your Backup Files into the iNTERFACEWARE Directory.
• If any of your channels are supposed to start automatically, stop each channel in question and change its configuration accordingly.
• Verify that each channel that you changed functions as expected.
