Chameleon uses the encoding specified by the current Unix locale. To get a list of all of the installed locales on your machine, type in the following command:
To select a locale for use in Chameleon, you'll need to set the LC_ALL environment variable to the locale you desire. For example, if you want to set the locale to use UTF-8 encoding, then you would type the following command before executing your application:
