When viewing applications built using Chameleon in Dependency Walker (version 2.X) or equivalent, you may receive a missing DWMAPI.DLL dependency error. Typically this error occurs for applications running on computers using Microsoft Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7. The missing dependency error should be ignored since the missing DWMAPI.DLL and other warnings for system DLLs are considered to be acceptable since they occur for delay loaded DLLs.
If you receive a dependency error when running your application, this missing DLL may appear to be the source of that problem. However, it usually isn't. Verify with Dependency Walker (or a similar program) that there are no other warnings. If there are, check that these warnings are not the actual cause of the dependency error. |
