If two messages have identical segment grammars and identical table grammars, consider just implementing them as one message. Chameleon's VMD file supports the use of regular expressions in message identities. This makes it easy to map multiple ADT messages into one message event. For instance, this message identity will match every ADT message except a ADT^A03 message (discharge message): The following table gives some other examples of regular expressions that might be useful:
