The next step is to turn on the channels that you have created:

• In Iguana, click the Dashboard tab.
• In the Channel Name column, locate the names of the channels that you have created.
• Click the Start button to the left of each channel name.

If the channels are running normally, green ON indicators are displayed for each channel:

If an error has been detected, a red ERROR indicator appears.

	If you have not started the HL7 Listener, an error occurs when you start channel 2. This is because there is no counterparty currently listening at the specified host address (localhost) and port (8889) for incoming messages.
