If you are running Iguana on Unix, Linux or Mac OS X, you can use the cron utility to specify that one or more channels are to be started or stopped at a particular time. To start or stop channels on schedule, run the crontab -e command to edit your crontab file. This file lists the batch jobs that you want your computer to run, and the times that you want to run them. For example, the following batch jobs tell the cron utility to start a channel named llp_to_database at 9:00 a.m. every day and stop the channel at 5:00 p.m. every day:
